PEN/Hemingway Award and other Hemingway Forums

Literary figureheads and members of the general public gather each spring at the JFK Library & Museum to recognize under Ernest Hemingway's name new authors who have recently published their first great work of fiction.  Thanks to the Hemingway Foundation and PEN New England, authors are awarded a prize for their contribution to literature. Read more here about past PEN/Hemingway award winners.

Hemingway Scrapbooks

The Ernest Hemingway Collection has digitized five scrapbooks documenting the childhood of the Nobel Prize-winning author Ernest Hemingway. Created and annotated by Hemingway’s mother, Grace Hall Hemingway, the scrapbooks chronicle the first eighteen years of her son’s life and include many never-before-seen photographs, letters, drawings, homework assignments and other keepsakes from his childhood.
